Cheesy Garlic Pull Apart Bread

Cheesy garlic pull apart bread is made with frozen dinner rolls layered with garlic butter, mozzarella and cheddar cheese, then baked until golden and finished with melted butter and Parmesan.

Ingredients

  • 12 frozen dinner rolls I like Rhodes
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 tsp. minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp. fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • ½ cup sharp cheddar cheese shredded

Topping

  • 1 tbsp. unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tbsp. parmesan cheese grated

Instructions

  1. Place frozen roll dough on a parchment lined baking sheet, at least two inches apart. Cover with plastic wrap and allow dough to thaw, about one hour.

  2. In a small bowl combine butter, garlic and parsley. In a second bowl combine mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
    1/2 cup unsalted butter, 2 tsp. minced garlic, 2 tbsp. fresh parsley, 1 cup mozzarella cheese, 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese
  3. Lightly flour countertop and roll each dough ball into a 4 inch disc. Divide garlic butter on each disc and spread evenly.
  4. Divide shredded cheese equally between all the discs on top of butter spread. Fold discs in half.
  5. Place stacks round side up in a greased 8x4 loaf pan. Cover with plastic wrap and allow dough to rise for 2-2 1/2 hours until doubled in size.
  6. Remove plastic wrap and bake in a 350 degree oven for 25-30 minutes until deep golden brown.
  7. Remove pan from oven and place on a wire rack. Allow bread to rest for 5 minutes before removing from pan. Brush loaf with melted butter and sprinkle with grated parmesan. Serve warm.
