Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 8 oz. button mushrooms sliced
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup half & half
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. black pepper
  • ¼ tsp. garlic powder
  • ½ tsp. onion powder
  • 6-8 ½ in. bone-in pork chops

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°.

Mushroom Gravy

  • In a large skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add sliced mushrooms and cook 4-5 minutes until mushrooms are nicely browned.
  • Sprinkle in flour and stir to coat mushrooms. Cook for 1 minute.
  • Stir in chicken broth, half & half and spices. Bring to simmer and cook for 5 minutes until thickened.

Pork Chops

  • Season pork chops with salt & pepper.
  • In another large skillet, heat 2 tbsp. olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and brown about 2 minutes on each side. Place browned pork chops in 9x13 baking dish.
  • Pour mushroom gravy over pork chops. Cover with foil and bake 30-35 minutes until meat thermometer registers pork at least 145°.

Notes

  • Serve with mashed potatoes or wide egg noodles along with a vegetable for a nice, hearty meal
